Using Memory Cards That Were Used in Another Camera (EOS-1D X Mark II)

Content Id: 8202818400

Solution

If memory cards that were used in another camera are used, the following things may happen.

1. Shot images not being recorded properly

2. Card-related error displayed; card cannot be used

3. Numbering of shot images does not begin from "0001"

If a card is new or was previously formatted (initialized) by another camera or computer, format the card with this camera so that the camera can record to it correctly.

Caution

When a card is formatted, all images and data on the card are erased. Even protected images will be erased, so make sure there is nothing you need to keep. If necessary, transfer the images and data to a computer, etc., before formatting the card.
