Registering Current Camera Settings Under the Mode Dial's C1 / C2 / C3 Positions (EOS-1D X Mark II)

You can register current camera settings, such as the shooting functions, menu functions, and Custom Function settings, as Custom shooting modes under the Mode Dial's [ C1 ] / [ C2 ] / [ C3 ] positions.

Registering a Custom Shooting Mode

The method for registering a Custom shooting mode is shown below.

1. Set the camera's power switch to ⋖ ON ⋗.

2. Press the ⋖MENU⋗ button to display the menu.

3. Under the [ ] tab, select [Custom shooting mode (C1-C3)], then press ⋖ ⋗.

4. Select [ Register settings ], then press ⋖ ⋗.

5. Select the Custom shooting mode to be registered, then press ⋖ ⋗.

6. Select [OK] and press ⋖ ⋗.

The current camera settings will be registered under the Mode Dial's C* position.

Caution

If you change a setting while shooting in the [ C1 ] / [ C2 ] / [ C3 ] mode, the respective Custom shooting mode can be updated automatically to reflect the change in the setting (Auto update). To enable this automatic update, set [ Auto update set. ] to [ Enable ] in step 4.
If you select [ Clear settings ] in step 4, the settings of respective modes can be reverted to the default settings with no Custom shooting modes registered.

Caution

My Menu settings will not be registered under Custom shooting modes.

Caution

Even in the [ C1 ] / [ C2 ] / [ C3 ] shooting mode, you can still change the shooting function settings and menu function settings.
