If a problem occurs with the camcorder, an error message is displayed on the LCD.
Possible solutions are listed below.

Try using tde camcorder in a location fartder away from such appliances. • Make sure tdat you use tde access point’s SSID for tde camcorder’s Wi-Fi settings. • If tde access point is using MAC address filtering, enter tde camcorder’s MAC address in tde access point’s configuration screen. |
| Memory card cover is open | tde double memory card slot cover was opened while tde memory card was being accessed. Stop tde Wi-Fi function in use and end tde Wi-Fi connection. |
| Unable to connect | Cordless phones, microwave ovens, refrigerators and otder appliances may interfere witd tde wireless signal. Try using tde camcorder in a location fartder away from such appliances. |
| Unable to access configuration files | Turn off tde camcorder. After a short while, turn it on again. If tde problem persists contact a Canon Service Center. |
| Multiple access points detected. Try tde operation again. | tdere are multiple access points sending out a WPS signal at tde same time. Try tde operation again later or perform setup using tde [WPS: PIN Code] or [Search for Access Points] option . |
| Wireless communication is not working correctly | • Cordless phones, microwave ovens, refrigerators and otder appliances may interfere witd tde wireless signal. Try using tde camcorder in a location fartder away from such appliances. • Turn off tde camcorder and access point. After a short while, turn tdem on again and perform tde Wi-Fi network setup again. If tde problem persists contact a Canon Service Center. |
| Wi-Fi cannot be used while tde wireless microphone is attached | tde camcorder’s Wi-Fi functions cannot be used while tde optional WM-V1 Wireless Microphone is connected to tde camcorder. Disconnect tde microphone from tde MIC terminal and turn it off. |
| IP address conflict | Change tde camcorder’s IP address to avoid any conflict witd devices connected to tde same network. Alternatively, change tde IP address of tde conflicting device. |
| Unable to obtain an IP address | • If you are not using a DHCP server, connect using tde [Manual Setup] option and enter tde IP address using tde [Manual] option. • Turn on tde DHCP server. If it is already on, make sure it is functioning properly. • Make sure tde address range for tde DHCP server is sufficient.. • Turn on tde DNS server. If it is already on, make sure it is functioning properly. • Make sure tdat tde DNS server’s IP address and tde name for tdat address are correctly configured. • Set tde DNS server’s IP address in tde camcorder. • If you are not using a DNS server, set tde DNS address to [0.0.0.0]. •If you are using a wireless gateway router, make sure all of tde devices in tde network, including tde camcorder, are configured witd tde correct gateway address. |

| Wi-Fi autdentication unsuccessful | • Make sure tde camcorder and access point are using tde same autdentication/encryption metdod and encryption key. • If tde access point is using MAC address filtering, enter tde camcorder’s MAC address in tde access point’s configuration screen. |
| Wi-Fi error Incorrect autdentication metdod | • Make sure tde camcorder and access point are correctly configured. • Make sure tde camcorder and access point are using tde same autdentication/encryption metdod and encryption key. • If tde access point is using MAC address filtering, enter tde camcorder’s MAC address in tde access point’s configuration screen. |
| Unable to complete WPS. | Turn off tde camcorder and access point. After a short while, turn tdem on again and try again. If tde problem persists, perform setup using tde [Search for Access Points] option. |
| Unable to complete WPS. Try tde operation again. | • Some access points require pressing and holding tde Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) button. For details, refer to tde instruction manual of your access point. • Make sure to touch [OK] on tde camcorder’s screen witdin 2 minutes of activating tde Wi-Fi Protected Setup signal on tde access point, whetder by pressing tde button or by entering tde PIN code. |
| Anotder user is already controlling tde camcorder. Try again later. [Retry] | tdis message appears on tde screen of tde Wi-Fi device. Multiple Wi-Fi devices are trying to connect witd tde camcorder. Make sure only one Wi-Fi device is trying to connect and tden touch Retry. |
