Saving Movies to High-Definition Discs

Content Id: 8201851500

Solution

When you make high-definition (AVCHD) and Standard (DVD) disks, you can dub the movies that you recorded using a commercially-available recorder. For details on how to create discs, see your recorder’s instruction manual.

Caution

When creating Disks using a computer

Install the supplied software (Data Import Utility) before you connect the camcorder to the computer for the first time. Refer to Installing Data Import Utility .
When creating high-definition discs, you will need to first copy your recordings to the computer.

Caution

Play back DVD (in AVCHD format) discs on DVD players that support AVCHD format, or on Blu-ray disc players. High-definition discs cannot be played back on DVD players that do not support AVCHD format. Be careful that you may not be able to eject discs from players that do not support AVCHD format.
