Derek Corin, National Manager for Technical Services at Canon New Zealand, talks about how we’re working on delivering a superior customer experience through smart service features that are built into our latest generation of printers.
When you want a job done quickly, it helps if you have the option to do it yourself. We’ve allowed just that with our latest DX series printers. Some parts are designed so you can easily replace them if you want to. These parts include document feed rollers, drums, toners, and fixing units. This is just one way we help reduce downtime so you can keep your business moving.
Canon’s eMaintenance remote diagnostic tool proactively monitors your printer to keep things running smoothly. eMaintenance transmits machine data to help technicians diagnose and repair issues, including meter reading information. Better yet, the Remote Operator feature allows Canon technicians to make some repairs remotely saving you a physical callout.
Rest easy knowing that your data and settings on your DX series are backed-up. If we need to service, repair your printer, or replace the hard drive, your user settings and data will be migrated and restored on restart. Canon’s cloud-based tool also allows you to migrate your preferred settings to any new or replacement device, saving you considerable time and effort.
In the future, when Canon introduces new features, many will be rolled out across similar later-generation models. This means that even sometime after purchasing your printer you could still take advantage of some of the latest firmware updates and all the benefits they offer.
