What does Develop mean in photography?
The Basics:
To ‘develop’ an image is to create a physical form of a photograph, whether it be from a roll of film or a RAW file on your computer.
To develop an image is to create the final version of your photograph. In the film days, this was physically developing a roll of film with chemicals to produce a printed photograph. In the digital era, this has more to do with processing an image – usually a RAW image – with image editing software to create the final JPEG file.
