How to Use Slow Playback (VIXIA HF G20 / LEGRIA HF G25)

Solution

The Slow playback backward/forward function can be accessed during playback pause.

The procedure for setting Slow playback backward/forward. is explained below.

1. Turn on the camcorder.

2. Press ⋖⋗ to set the camcorder to playback mode.

3. Touch the desired scene to play it back.

4. Touch the screen to display the playback controls.

5. Touch [ ] to pause the playback.

6. Touch [Slow playback backward/forward].

Touch several times to increase the playback speed from 1/8 to 1/4 the normal speed.
In [Slow playback backward/forward] the camcorder will not emit any sound. During slow playback, touch anywhere on the screen to return to playback pause.

Caution

Fast/slow playback modes are not available for scenes converted to standard definition. Scenes in the [SD Movies] index screen can only be played back at normal speed.
During fast/slow playback, you may notice some anomalies (blocky video artifacts, banding, etc.) in the playback picture.
Depending on the recording conditions, you may notice brief stops in video or sound playback between scenes.
The speed indicated on the screen is approximate.
Slow reverse playback will look the same as continuous frame reverse.
