Saving Movies on a Computer

Solution

You can use the supplied software, PIXELA’s Transfer Utility or VideoBrowser, to save the movies recorded in the build-in memory or on an SD card^*1 to a computer^*2.
*1 Carefully read the information in Note on SDXC Memory Cards before performing the procedure using recordings made on an SDXC memory card.
*2: Windows Only. See System Requirements .

Caution

Install the supplied software (Transfer Utility or VideoBrowser) before you connect the camcorder to the computer for the first time. See the Installing PIXELA Transfer Utility / VideoBrowser.

1. Power the camcorder using the compact power adapter.

2. Press ⋖ ⋗ to open the date index screen or gallery screen.

3. Connect the camcorder to the computer using the supplied USB cable.

Transfer Utility or VideoBrowser will start up automatically.

Caution

Camcorder: Select the memory that contains the scenes you want to save.

Camcorder: When the connection is successfully established, [USB Connection] appears on the screen.

4. Start Transfer Utility or VideoBrowser to save movies on the computer.

Follow the on-screen instructions.

Caution

When the camcorder is connected to a computer:

- Do not open the double memory card slot cover and do not remove the memory cards.

- Do not access, change or delete any of the camcorder’s folders or files directly from the computer as this may result in permanent data loss. Always save your movies on the computer, and restore files to the camcorder, using only the supplied PIXELA’s software.

Observe the following precautions while the ACCESS indicator is on or flashing. Failing to do so may result in permanent data loss.

- Do not open the double memory card slot cover.

- Do not disconnect the USB cable.

- Do not turn off the camcorder or the computer.

- Do not change the camcorder’s operating mode.

When restoring to the camcorder video files that were previously saved to the computer, do not disconnect the USB cable or turn off the camcorder or computer. Doing so may result in scenes that cannot be played back on the camcorder.

Operation may not work correctly depending on the software and the specifications/settings of your computer.

Caution

Also, see the instruction manual of your computer.

You can select multiple scenes in a story and save them on the computer. If multiple scenes are saved as a story, all the scenes will be joined.
